Mendip Pictures and endeavouring to make 'Bad Dennis - Cider Party' the first fully low-impact and green production, enabling at very clear blueprint to be made for future filmmakers and productions. We take extremely seriously the need for low impact, local practices that will cut the amount of waste produced while not scrimping on quality of production.
We will live and work at, Fernhill Farm, our location, which is one of the UKs leading environmentally sustainable, organic living centres.
We will plant a corresponding amount of native trees at the Location to
Compensate for any travel, which is not low impact ecologically.
This low-impact accommodation features re-cycled wood interiors, wool insulation,
and under floor heating. Rainwater is harvested from the roof and wastewater is purified in their WET System, enabling our production to have minimal environmental impact.
All our food will come from the farm and the surrounding area and will be cooked on site. Every thing from the rubbish to the catering materials will be recycled.
All our electricity will come from green and Renewable sources. The centre already uses the Green suppler Ecotricity for its power and bio diesel will be used in all generators.
Local and location vehicles:
All will be bio, gas or electric.
Here is a short film we made exploring the Bad Dennis story, which was shown at film festivals across Europe and premiered at the world famous Green Gathering.
