Greetings, everyone! And welcome to Awesome! with Brian Holler. For those of you that are joining us for the first time, we’d like to take a moment to talk about Brian and the show.
Brian is an Educator, Social Commentator, Entertainer and well, Awesomist! He has advanced degrees in communication and education as well as a rich background in media, politics and entertainment. He’s committed to communicating a fresh and honest perspective on current events that is sorely lacking today. Most importantly, he’s the host of Awesome!
Awesome! is a weekly, one-hour, variety show that focuses on current events, social issues and inspiration by providing honest commentary from a broad, open minded perspective.
What started as a blog and a modest social media presence has already developed enough interest for us to be able to elevate it to a place where we will have a legitimate chance to create the show Brian has always envisioned. A new take on the variety show format - complete with a rented studio, top-level production and the flexibility content-wise to show a wide range of viewpoints and emotions.
The show is currently hosted on Blog Talk Radio. Our goal is to create an enhanced experience for our listeners, which includes moving the show from Blog Talk Radio (audio only) to being hosted on BrianHoller.com which will provide video. With funds from this campaign we will produce a one-hour pilot that will air in early 2013. Our intention is to attract sponsors and supporters so we can continue to bring you a weekly one-hour variety show. Awesome! strives to bring you compelling interviews with local, relevant talent, entrepreneurs, thought leaders and local musicians. And of course, we will continue to provide unbiased commentary on all subjects from politics to punk rock. To listen to past shows, go to www.blogtalkradio.com/brianholler.
The Awesome! team includes award-winning DP and Editor, Ty Huffer; Sound Designer, Dave Green; Art Director, Lisa B. Hammond; Gaffer and 2nd AC, Matt Harrison; Grip, Steve Straney; Production Assistants, Ivey Bronwen and Brianna Murphy; Consulting Producer, Will Chase; Executive Producer, Jenn George and finally Producer, Tari White at the helm.
Crunching the Numbers
We have our production crew in place to launch our pilot episode; a talented graphic designer ready to redesign the look of Awesome! including the website; and to finalize the details, we need to finance the remaining $15,000 needed to make our official move from Blog Talk Radio to BrianHoller.com! Here’s a breakdown-
Crew- A professional crew is the cornerstone to any polished production, and we have some of the most talented folks in Seattle working on our pilot!
Equipment- Renting state-of-the art equipment is vital to increasing the production value of our show.
Art Direction- Everything from wardrobe to props and the talent to pull it all together with panache!
Branding & Marketing- We’re putting together a fresh new look for the show including a new logo and website.
Insurance & Permitting- Safety first.
