Hi AMP supporters!
It’s been a little while so we wanted to provide a status update. In January we completed our user personas and user flows, both of which ensure the site experience meets the various need-states of our targets (i.e., student, green team member, sustainability professional, social entrepreneur). We then moved into creating the wireframes, which map out all the different pages and basically act as instructions for the development team – really excited about how these ended up, and what we’re going to be able to deliver once the beta is live (est. May/June)!
We’re currently wrapping up the design phase (i.e., revised color scheme, fonts, logo, etc.) and moving into development, so will be in touch with more updates as we move forward. We couldn’t be happier with Pxl Bros and Magic Key as our design and development partners – both are demonstrating a great mix of creativity and strategic savvy.
For those interested in a lightweight read, I wrote an article that was published in PandoDaily titled, “Five and a half reasons why I still love Facebook” in which I mention AMP – certainly doesn’t hurt to increase awareness among a mainstream tech audience. http://bit.ly/VdYPLS
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and thanks again for helping us to get off the ground! More soon.
Sarah
Happy Holidays AMP supporters! John and I want to update you on what’s been going on since our campaign wrapped. After a significant amount of outreach and vetting, we’re delighted to have found an excellent design partner in PXL Bros, and a development partner in Magic Key. Both are based in Los Angeles, allowing for in-person meetings since I’m based in Santa Monica. They have worked successfully together in the past on tech startups with similar functionality and are also really wonderful people who believe in AMP’s mission, which was important to us as we were screening potential candidates.
We’ve recently completed a lot of prep work to ensure the project starts off on the right foot, with wireframing set to begin in January and the beta version of the site going live this Spring. We’ll keep you posted as we hit major milestones, and we are likely going to solicit some feedback as we move forward.
Everyone that selected a $25 perk (i.e., thank you card with sustainably made sticker) or $50 perk (t-shirt made from recycled water bottles) should have received them by now. If you haven’t, please shoot an email to sarah@ampyourimpact.com. It was a humbling experience to write so many thank you cards and to be reminded of everyone that’s supporting our efforts. We feel very grateful this holiday season.
Lastly, AMP was mentioned in my latest article for GOOD, titled “Emerging Resources for Social Entrepreneurs,” should anyone want to have a read! http://bit.ly/QLFGB7
Happy 2013,

Team AMP has been busy and will report back with newsworthy updates as we progress. My latest article for GOOD is titled “Why Social Ventures Are More Popular Than Ever,” should any of you want to have a read! http://bit.ly/V1CL87

We’re AMP’d to confirm that last night we reached our funding goal!!! We can’t THANK YOU enough – your support means so much to us, and we couldn’t have done this without every single one of you pitching in to help out!
We’re excited to move forward into development and will be in touch the week of 10/29 with an update.
Gratefully,
Sarah and John

We’re nearly there, AMP supporters! We’ve surpassed 90 % of our goal. That means we just have $2700 to go, and then we can start fulfilling our vision (and delivering your perks!)
Thanks so much to everyone who has commented, contributed, and spread the word…with just a little more support, and few more mentions to your networks, we can get this wrapped up before our deadline. Just one more day to go.
Our eternal gratitude to each and every one of you—stay AMPd !!
John and Sarah
