Update #14

Hey Indiegogo Backers,

Many of you have been asking if the device can be worn all day, just during exercise or whether or not it tracks sleep. Now, its time to clear the air..

We created Amiigo with the intent of delivering the most personalized & intelligent wearable device. It is designed to be worn all day, night, during exercise and even in water. Many of you have been dying to know if the device tracks sleep. Well, now you can rest easy (heh), the device will track sleep, and it will from the moment we ship it to you! Amiigo sleep tracking will incorporate a whole new level of feedback that you won’t find in any other wearable device. We’re building out some awesome new sleep tracking features in both the Android and iOS apps. Check back with us in a few weeks for the details of the sleep tracking features.

As for product development.. we had to make one minor modification to the product in order to accomodate the new sleep tracking features: a bigger battery. We’re now working with new, custom batteries that will extend the battery life of your Amiigos for the purpose of tracking sleep. Attached you’ll see a very quick glimpse of the user experience in the Android app. Enjoy :)

Also, many of you have asked for more frequent updates. For that reason we’re taking our updates over to our website (www.amiigo.co/updates). There, we will post more frequent, minor updates so those of you who’d like to, can follow the development more closely. You’ll notice that this update is also posted there.

Update #13

Hey Indiegogo Backers,

Checking in to give you a quick update.

Many of you have asked about the new website. It is now live on http://Amiigo.co For those of you who have been wondering how to reserve additional Amiigos, be sure to provide your email to ensure that you save your spot in-line for the next batch.

We’ll also be using this new site to collect bracelet size / color in the upcoming weeks.

An update regarding the bracelet latch: Many of you know this as the “blue” or “green” section of the bracelet. The manufacturer has recommended a couple changes in order to increase our output and accomodate high-volume manufacturability… In an attempt to deliver the first batch of Amiigos as quickly as possible, we’ve slightly modified the internal releasing mechanism. We’ve also received many requests for a shoe clip that accommodates unconventional types of shoes. We’re investigating and will update soon.

We will be posting more on manufacturing in the coming update. Stay Tuned!

Update #12

Hi Indiegogo Backers,

We’re tuning in to give you the latest from Amiigo.
First up, a few details on the battery, as it seems to be a popular topic. We’ve attached a few images to show both the size and all of the inner workings of the wristband. Upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the battery attached. We’re happy to announce the battery can last up to 6 days on a single charge. You’ll notice the electronics completely exposed and also set in the sensor carriage. You can get a feel for the size by looking at the image with the ChapStick next to the sensor carriage.

Next up… manufacturing. We’re headed out for an extended stay with the manufacturer as we begin final setup for manufacturing and tooling.
In the next update, we’ll be announcing an updated website and the process for selecting your size and color if your “perk” included multiple units.
