Hi, my name is Reagan Gomez. I'm an actress, wife and mommy. I started this campaign to help fund the rest of my webseries, Almost Home. I've been in the biz, since I booked my first tv show at 14 yrs old. That show lasted for 5 years, and I've been going strong since. As I got older, I noticed the lack of quality roles for actresses of color. And i knew when I got the chance, I was going to do what I could to change that. This is my chance. I funded the first few episodes myself, but we need help finishing it. The show is about Lisa (me) and my younger brother DeJuan. We leave Chicago after the death of our mother and move to sunny LA. My character becomes a stylist and DeJuan pursues his singing career. The fashion and original music set this show apart. My crazy ex-fiance also shows up to LA unexpectedly, and drama ensues. With the death of their mother, Lisa and DeJuan are both forced to make changes in their lives and face their fears while keeping their family together.
I have a bunch of my, actor, friends attached. Wesley Jonathan, Jackie Long, Denyce Lawton, my brother in law and indie musician DeJuan Turrentine, sis in law and indie musician Queen as well as indie musician, Ryan Hahn.
What We Need to know
My goal is to reach 25k. All of that money will go towards, production of the remaining episodes and post production.
If I do NOT reach my goal, I will put whatever I DO get towards production.
NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. WE APPRECIATE IT ALL!
A $25 donation will get you a shout out on Twitter. I LIVE ON TWITTER. lol!
A $150 donation will get you a shout out and AND A PERSONAL THANK YOU VIDEO.
A $400 donation will get you a personal THANK YOU VIDEO AND FOLLOW ON TWITTER.
A $1000 donation will get you a FOLLOW ON TWITTER, a personal thank you video and YOU'LL GET TO COME TO SET.
The ImpactThis project is so important to me. We NEED more women of color behind the scenes in Hollywood. And, if all goes well with this campaign, my ultimate goal, is to continue to use INDIE GO GO to create, original content for actors and actresses of color. A webseries now, a film later?
