Aether Dancer, Steampunk Open Source Project

Our Story

500 years before the present day, Earth was rained upon by destructive meteorites.  The meteor shower was like none that had ever been recorded.  Some meteorites were large enough to wipe out entire cities.  Humanity survived.  This is the story of the Aether Dancer, a transport airship, and her crew in this brave new world.

We are a small band of independent filmmakers, producers, designers, and artists, trying to make a fantastic story idea into a TV pilot. The Teaser trailer was made possible by a previous fund raising campaign on IndieGoGo with the help of fans like you! 

We have talented actors and actresses already involved in the series who want to bring you the best Steampunk Webseries starring Claudia Christian that will ever be filmed! 

If you're a fan of swashbuckling, daring adventures, and narrow escapes, this is the webseries for you!

Also, the Aether Dancer will be an open concept idea. You will be able to (as fans) film your own segments and send them in to us and we'll post them as part of the story. The only thing we ask is that you stick within the framework of the world and the rules that we have created. 

We will go out of our way to help you with your character and work what you have created into the story.  

So, will you be an Aristocrat from the Central Kingdom? A Doctor or Scientist from Lachesis, Perhaps you're a tinkerer or engineer from  or even a mysterious traveler from Ma'at?

Do you already have a steampunk personae or airship and you wanted them to be a part of a larger world and community? Here's your chance!  

You will have the opportunity to be all that and more... but what we need first is your help. 

The Impact

The next phase of our production will cost $100,000 and we would like to get it underway some time in 2012.

It's time to tell the studio execs that something like this is not only possible, but necessary. A series by the people for the people that can turn heads and get people interested that isn't relying on schedules and seeing how many viewers there are so it would be canceled mid-season (like some series that shant be mentioned) without a chance to finish off their stories. 

What We Need & What You Get

What we're looking to do is raise $100,000 for the production of the Aether Dancer Series. All the money donated will go towards production, locations, and pay for the cast and crew. As always if we don't hit the goal, we cannot provide the prize packs, but fear not, if we DO hit the goal, we will honor our past agreements as well! 

What you get is an entry into a draw to win an Aether Dancer prize pack, which will include a DVD copy of the pilot episode (director's cut of course) an Aether Dancer t-shirt, and several other goodies signed by the cast and crew. 

Every time you enter, is a new chance to win. If you enter once, that's one, if you donate twice, that's two entries. 

Example, if you donate $2 twice, you get 2 entries into the draw, the more you donate, the more chances you have of winning.
