Short Summary

My name is Angus Young, (Hi Angus!) and I am a Director.

The short film, 'A Compassionate Torture' centers around, and is loosely based on the events of the Abu Ghraib torture by American soldiers.

Kelder is an interrogator whose relentless torture is becoming all too much, and with the change of the homeland politics, Kelder takes his cue to patch up relationships with the near-dead detainees and turn his life around.

I hope you enjoy the development of this film and through your help, you can see this film win film festival after film festival.

Angus Young is an 18 year old filmmaker who holds a passion for the directing field. 

"age should hold no boundaries right?"

Under the influence of Director Glendyn Ivin (Crackerbag, The Last Ride, Beaconsfield, and Puberty Blues) as well as Christopher Ash (Ashtechnologies), Angus has -and is still developing- the exceptional creative techniques and leadership qualities that make him one of those people you just wouldn't expect to make an awesome film.

Well, here he is. Clothed and ready to bring you and epic that is well woth your attention.

Angus has been involved with the visual direction of live events, music videos, online content advertising, and other short films both in direction, producing, and writing.

Introducing the Director of Photography.

James Hall, ACS, has exceded expectation in the industry for over eight years.

With a Masters in Film and Digital Video ticked up his sleve, his work extends through sixteen short films and seven festures. Notably, Up the Aisle and Brush- the movie.
 
James is not only a colleague; he's a friend. (at least i hope so) And to show our awe of his head of knowledge, we have hired him to be the visual artist of the film. 
He's also a full member of ACS.

I'm going to be as transparent as possible here.

$5000 is the minimum funding we need to create a visual masterpiece; i'll break it down for you.

Where your gifts go:

  • Pay the Director of Photography and the Audio Guy.

  • Film Armory and blank ammunition.
  • Wardrobe.
  • Transport.
  • Location hire.

From these expenses, you will experience the most fantastic, epic, visual masterpiece that an 'indie' film crew can possibly make.
