Just a few words about us and our project
3D-aviatour is the project focused on high resolution 3D virtual tours. Our team includes photographers, aviation experts and enthusiasts, experienced project managers and graphic designers. During the next 2-3 years we are planing to create the 3D virtual tours of the most interesting "avia" landmarks of our planet. The funding we seek will be applied to the creation of first 3D virtual tour in museum of long-range and strategic aviation that was established on the former site of the Poltava military airfield, existing with the 20-ies of the last century.
About first project
The main goal of our first project is the creation of virtual 3D tour in the museum of strategic and long-range aircraft, which is located on the former military base in the city of Poltava. This museum chosen not by accident. The museum is unique in many ways. Museum collected the main exhibits of great aviation era - intercontinental strategic bombers from the Cold War.
But not only. At the time exposition of museum consists of next machines: Tu-160 (NATO reporting name: Blackjack), Tu-95MS (NATO reporting name: Bear), Tu-22KD (NATO reporting name: Blinder), Tu-22М3 (NATO reporting name: Backfire), Tu-16 (NATO reporting name: Badger), Tu-134UBL (NATO reporting name: Crusty), Su-15 (NATO reporting name: Flagon), L-29 (NATO reporting name: Maya), An-26 (NATO reporting name: Curl), An-2 (NATO reporting name: Colt) and some equipments. All of them will be included to our virtual tour.
What will be the result of our project?
Photography helps people to see. But we want to give the opportunity to not only see, but also feel. How do we plan to do this?
In total we will shoot more than 20 spherical panoramas with angle of view equals 360*180 degree. Panoramas will be filmed at the museum area, on board the aircraft, in cockpits. All this plans will be done only with one purpose - to give opportunity the virtual visitors to see all that can be seen only by physical presence. All the spherical panoramas that will form our tour will be carefully processed using HDR method to give the maximum quality image. 3D virtual tour will allow the viewer to change the viewing angle, to move from point to point. Also visitors will be able to board airplanes. Moreover, we want the virtual visitor could not only see. The visitor will hear all sounds that are happening. We will record all the surrounding sounds. This way, you will be able hear the sounds of the wind, creaking wings, your steps on board and other sounds.
How can I visit the virtual tour?
All what you need to visit the virtual tour is web browser (laptop or iPad version). Will be publicly available version of the tour, which will include a review of museum area and will not accompanied by sound. It will include about 10 observation points of the museum. Full version will include more than 20 observation points including location on board the Tu-160, Tu-22M3, Tu-95MS and Tu-134 UBL, An-26. Version will also accompanied by the sounds.
See details about the versions in "Perks for contribution"
What about deadlines?
If our funding campaign will be successfully we start work in mid-November. Scheduled end of work and the start of delivery perks for contribution is scheduled for 30.11.12.
Other way you can help us
Of course we know that not everyone can contribute directly, but you can be a part of our referral campaign. So please share our campaign with everyone that you feel would find 3D-aviatour interesting. We would appreciate it!
Will I get something if you will not be able to get required amount of funding?
Of course, we thought about scenario like this. If we will get less than 60% of required funding we are going to make pack of high resolution photos. It will include more than 50 photos. All who contribute $25 or more will receive this exlusive pack.
If you will have any questions, feel free to ask.
