We've been asked, "Why would you bother making a project that's not for profit....?" 

We've been called "brave", "foolish" and "nave"... 

We've been reminded constantly that you need to be "more experienced" and "conservative" and that  "one person cannot make a difference".

WE KNOW WHAT PEOPLE THINK, THEY'RE NOT SCARED TO SHARE THEIR OPINIONS WITH US, BUT WE BELIEVE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE....AND THAT THE WORLD WE LIVE IN CAN BE BETTER....THAT PEOPLE ARE POWERFUL, AND INVESTING IN HUMANITY IS WORTH IT. YES WE ARE DREAMING BIG AND AMBITIOUSLY, BUT WITHOUT GREAT VISION FOR A BETTER WORLD, WHAT HOPE IS THERE?


Welcome to the 11Eleven Project. 


The 11Eleven Project is a worldwide movement of filmmakers, photographers, musicians, bloggers and sound recordists who are committed to using their skills to make the world a better place. Started in Australia by Danielle Lauren, the 11Eleven Project has been a 10-year vision that is now becoming a reality.... Now, with 120 University Partners Worldwide, almost 100 volunteers, and traction in 1500 cities, the 11Eleven Project is gaining great momentum - but we cannot do it without YOU.

So what exactly is the 11Eleven Project?


On the 11th November 2011 the date reads 11/11/11. This alignment of ones takes place every hundred years, and this time humanity will recognise the occasion like never before. 


For 24 hours on 11/11/11, anyONE who has access to a film, video or digital camera, a microphone, mobile phone or email will be invited to partake in the biggest creative project of our human history. People from 196 different countries, brought together by over 200 languages, will be asked to capture a day in the life of their world.



The footage, audio, text, visual and photographic material will be collated and used as the ingredients for a variety of 11Eleven Project initiatives, including a 2-hour cinematic documentary, photographic book and world music collection.

                                        Why are we doing this? 

We believe artists are very powerful and can change the world. Using creativity to bring attention to the state of our planet in the 21st century, we can make decisions about what makes us proud to be human and what areas we can improve on. By exploring our world in all its aspects, we can begin to uncover who we are, and perhaps even explore why are we here. Yet, thats not all.... We're also raising money for charity... The 11Eleven Project is not-for-profit. All the profit we do make will go directly to charities we think are doing a wonderful job of making the world a better place for everyone. These charities include the World Wildlife Fund, the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the Hunger Project, UNICEF, Kiva and Hamlin Fistula. That way everyone wins...this truly is a project by the people, for the people. 


Why we need your help....

As much as we wish our project could survive on love and passion alone (trust us, we wish it could), we do need money to help us keep our project alive. We're not doing this job to get rich - in fact NO ONE is getting paid - we're doing it because we want to make the world a better place. Whilst we're all volunteering, we could really do with your assistance to keep our electricity running, our website active and our phones online, so that we can continue connecting with people all across the globe.
