Synopsis: This is three projects that will not take much time but will be done with heart and for fun. The first one is a documentary about the Tuscola Baseball team and their journey to State, if they make it. The funding for this project will be used to process the film into video to edit and to send the documentary to film competitions. The Tuscola Warriors started their baseball season on a downward slope but they have gradually raised to become one of the top teams in not only central Illinois but the state.
The second project is an idea called The Mechanical Horse. I think the Persian story the Mechanical Horse could be a fun story to make into a film. It is about a horse made by machine parts by an inventor who wants to demonstrate the horse to the Shah of Persia by letting the Prince try the horse out. Instead of listening to all the directions the Prince sets the horse off flying into the air without learning how the horse lands. The Prince lands in a far away land and learns that it is ruled by an evil wizard who is trying to force a princess to marry him. The prince falls in love with the princess and sets up a way to rescue the both of them.
If I were to make this film I would use real people on the a green screen so that the scenery would be all hand drawn like a child's story book. All the pictures would be drawn by crayons too, adding to this effect. The horse will be made out of simple mechanical parts and have a wooden head. I haven't decided whether or not a narrator would enhance the viewing pleasure as being a children's story or whether having the actors have lines would be better.
The last idea is called Barrel of My Gun. this is a gangster flick that has it all. it is a love story set in the 1950's that goes to extremes to show just how far one man will go to get one man's woman for lust and just how far a hero will go to get his dame back.
the story is set in the 1950's and will be shot in black and white. half of it will be real and half of it will be shot on green screen. the first 2 scenes will have dialogue leading to a music video type ending where the hero kills the villain. the last shot will be of the hero holding the body of his dead lover.
