About Me

Brian Pollack recently completed UC Berkeleys Graduate School of Journalism. He spent the summer of 2007 doing radio reporting in Alaska for KCAW, including a 2-week ocean-kayaking excursion with survival dependant upon fresh fish. He has directed, associate produced and worked as cameraman on productions for National Geographic, Triage Entertainment, and CBS 5 Investigates in San Francisco. His reporting took him to Iraq in 2008, where he observed the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines put into practice their Arabic language and culture skills for a documentary entitled Armed Ambassadors. The prior year, he reported on an environmental law case in Anhui, China where all the fish dead from toxins. His print work has appeared in the Oakland Tribune, San Jose Mercury News, and SF MODA magazine.
