Background and commitment
A multimedia artist and producer, Peter Sircom Bromley has over 30 years experience as a journalist, photographer, graphic designer, musician and film maker. His very own 15 minutes of fame (localized to Montreal) occurred way back in 1986, when his work as a visual effects director won a Cleo Award.
After moving to Vancouver in the mid-90s, his career interests shifted to the non-profit sector. In 1996, he designed and helped develop groundbreaking media collateral for the Sierra Club of Canada's nationwide climate change campaign. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he worked as a communications consultant with several organizations including the BC Environmental Network and the Rivershed Society of British Columbia. While promoting sustainability through print and web media, he acquired a thorough understanding of climate change science, renewable energy, and social policy development.
Active as a volunteer, he has served on the Boards of the Stanley Park Ecology Society, the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation, and the Sierra Club of British Columbia.
