IDFA believes that a good documentary is urgent. In the same way that art is by definition critical and cannot be seen separately from the society that produces it, creative documentaries also offer a probing, surprising window on the world. Documentaries stimulate the viewer to think further, to discuss, to ask questions. IDFA is unique for its international film program, the variety of genres, its politically committed program and the many European and world premieres featured each year.

Through our partnership with Indiegogo, IDFA invites selected films and (interactive) projects of all the different aspects of our organisation to take this opportunity to create a great crowdfunding campaign which will be backed up by the marketing and promotion tools of IDFA.
