At IDA, we believe that the power and artistry of the documentary art form are vital to cultures and societies globally, and we exist to serve the needs of those who create this art form. Since 1998, our fiscal sponsorship program has helped hundreds of independent documentaries get funded and finished! Last year our filmmakers raised over 3 million dollars to get their documentaries made and seen. We work with films in all stages of production, including supporting filmmakers through the crucial phases of distribution and outreach. Through our partnership with Indiegogo, IDA offers our sponsored projects the opportunity to utilize the power of a dynamic crowd funding platform while offering a valuable tax deduction to donors.
