Our Story 

Wichita Paranormal Research Society (WPRS) will be filming a documentary covering several historical and private locations in the state of Kansas. All locations in the documentary have been investigated for paranormal activity previously and have been found to have possible paranormal activity. This film will highlight the actual investigations "behind the scenes" from the original contact with the clients location, set up of equipment, personal and documented evidence of any activities. This film will detail the debunking process, equipment purpose and usage, research practices, along with team interation with each other, the clients and spirits. This will include WPRS's scientific philosophy in all aspects of investigations.

I am so excited to share with you a great project!! I find myself in a position to ask for your support. This is our first feature documentary film. Although we have made many films in the past for charity events around Kansas, this one is different. It for us and its for you. Its a project Im very proud of, featuring some awesome historical locations in Kansas, an amazing team of creative individuals with the same forward thinking when it come to the truth behind the paranormal.

Wichita Paranormal Research Society (WPRS) is one of the fastest growing paranormal investigation teams in Kansas. A proud TAPS Family Member. As paranormal investigators, we are committed to authenticating evidence and documenting the existence of any paranormal activity via audio, video, and other electronic means of equipment. By using current high-tech technology we are able to conduct extensive scientific investigations and interpret the evidence collected and present evidence to the client in the hopes of creating a better understanding of the current activity and possible options to be taken. WPRS does not attempt to "prove" a haunting. We conduct an investigation where we look at all aspects of reported activity, client observations, and gathered evidence to come up with the most reasonable explanation.

We will be filming a documentary covering several historical locations and a personal home in Kansas highlighting the spirited activity found to dwell within those rooms and halls. Education on equipments usage is a must along with meeting of the clients, hearing their stories, history of the locations, set up of equipment prior to an investigation, debunking of claims providing real and logical explanations to the clients claims, the actual investigation, going over audio and video captured and what happens when the investigation has completed. Of course you will get to know the individual investigators style while in search of the spirits in each location. It can be quite different between the investigators and the locations as to how the events are handled. Each investigator has a different reason for being involved in this type of field you will get to hear their stories.

Aside from the incredible talent each and every member of the WPRS team has to offer and share with the world, Kansas represents a rich, compelling, backdrop that transcends the mere distinction of setting by providing a complexity befitting of great characters and locations. Should Paranormal become the hit?  It has every right to be. We wouldnt want to make Paranormal Kansas anywhere else, and frankly, Im not sure we could these towns and buildings serve as a muse, inspiring us all. Kansas and its rich heritage is fascinating. So dont just look at this as a short-term investment opportunity in an ambitious paranormal investigation team making an independent film, its also a long-term investment in educating the masses in the paranormal field.

We plan to travel to each location bringing a film crew and helpers along with our WPRS team spending several days and nights investigating while filming each experience. We will need to film each location separately to be able to provide you with the best possible aspects of a real paranormal investigation.

Although we are mostly filming in actual locations throughout Kansas, the conceptual aspects of the film will require some as visual and special effects for reenactments of past events in order to transform these great experiences into a playground of the surreal.

The money we hope to raise through Indiegogo will go directly towards travel expenses, food, gas, car rental and lodging for the first venture of the filming for the WPRS team and crew.

The Impact

WPRS is a non-profit organization and we do NOT charge for any investigations, we never have and we never will.  The Impact the funds you donate will help our entire team and film crew with hotel expenses, food, travel to these great historical locations we want everyone to be aware exisit.  If we do not reach our goals we still plan to make the documentary, we will just continue to scrape together the money and struggle to each location.

What We Need & What You Get

We need about $5000 for the entire project.  It's to be filmed over a six month period all over the state of Kansas.  This will help with gas, hotel stays, food and expenses making the DVD's and editing process.  Depending on your donation you will get lots of love on our social media outlets, hard-copy of DVD, WPRS manet, a hand written "thank you" note from WPRS, special thanks in the credits of the movie, Paranormal Kansas T-Shirt, Sweat shirt, hat, email updates on the film making process and possible free pass for you and a guest to a showing in Kansas and dinner with the cast and crew. (You will be responsible travel, lodge and food other than dinner.)
