ARNOLD SCHOENBERG's Pierrot Lunaire
and
IGOR STRAVINSKY's L'Histoire du Soldat ('The Soldier's Tale')
in two performances, June 3 and 4, 8:00 PM at the Gershwin Hotel
7 W. 27th Street in New York City
Mezzo-soprano JENNIFER BERKEBILE will be featured in the Schoenberg.
We are raising funds to cover the costs of this production of these two classic theater chamber works.
As always with operamission, we are engaging superb performing musicians for maximum impact for the portrayal of these classics works in our intimate space.
Costs cover fees for the singers, actors and players, as well as rehearsal space, music rental, licensing, and publicity. Even with the most economical of budgets for these works designed specifically for small venues and small budgets, costs for live music add up quickly. Show operamission that you understand our value: we have done staged chamber opera, cabaret, concerts of Handel opera, and operatic jam sessions on the full scale, all on a shoestring with loyal support coming when it's needed. We are now reaching out to our fans and followers for more community support in making all of operamission's buzz a reality.
When you support operamission, you are insuring that the best possible art makes its way from the composer to the audience. Just as the performers do, you represent the mission.
As a new arts organization, your attention and investment is vital, no matter how small the contribution.
Another great way to help is to spread the word about this fundraising campaign through IndieGoGo's one-click integration with Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
All contributions to this campaign are tax-deductible, thanks to operamission's fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas.
Thank you for your support!
