Our Story
After watching every episode of Ken Burns' "Baseball", having no desire to live in or possessing any friendliness towards the filthy, soul-crushing city of Los Angeles, and being genuine baseball fans, Collin & Greg of CollinandGreg.com fame would like to publicly buy the Dodgers and bring them back to their rightful home in Brooklyn, NY. This is not a gag. This is not an act of rabble-rousing. This is the greatest public acquisition of a private entity in the United States since TARP but with better and more tangible results.
The Impact
Brooklyn gets a stadium and the NL gets represented in New York by a team other than the Mets.
What We Need & What You Get
The team is estimated to sell somewhere between $800 million and $1.2 trillion dollars (source: http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/7...) We're being modest and going for the low-end bargain price of $5 mill with the hope that you'll keep donating till we reach the cusp of $800 mill.
Other Ways You Can Help
Support us on our website or YouTube channel. If we get backlash from MLB or Commissioner Bud Selig, send him letters explaining that baseball belongs to the people, the American tax-paying people, and, since he himself owns the Milwaukee Brewers, hindering the sale of a team to the people is possibly a conflict of interest and since he fucked up by allowing Frank McCourt having a team, how much worse can the American people do?
