Our Story
This is a film I have been trying to make for some time now as it is very close to my heart. The short film is designed to be released as part of a coordinated event and throughout the UK with an intended premiere date in March 2012.
The Impact
People need to see the real story of Alzheimers. Many carers feel lost in an impossible situation, damaging their emotional and psychological health. If more people understood the pressures they are under, it would, in some small way, help alleviate their burden through shared understanding. Representatives from The Alzheimers Society have read the script and have given it their blessing. A dramatic film, as we have discovered with our previous projects, is the best way to move people and engage them in new ways of thinking and understanding.
What We Need & What You Get
The money for this project will go on the technical elements of the film. The entire team across the whole project (all of whom are industry professionals) are working for free. Ultimately, a full breakdown includes studio hire ($2,500), the set build and dressing etc. ($3,000), camera and lighting equipment ($3,000), post production and music ($1,500), insurance ($1,000), travel for cast and crew ($500) and the London premiere ($500). We already have some of these funds but needs an additional $8,000 to ensure a high quality production that will make people sit up and take notice. If we dont reach our target, compromises will have to be made in order to reach the March deadline but we will get this made!
Other Ways You Can Help
Whether you have personally been affected by the issues that the film depicts or whether you just love high quality, impactful cinema, please spread the word and link to this page. We want as many people to join us on this journey and see the production finally get the justice the script deserves.
