In 2002, Nicole Karsin moved to Bogot, Colombia where she worked as a freelance journalist and began producing and directing digital films. She formed Todos Los Pueblos Productions LLC [All the Peoples Productions] in April 2007 with a vision to produce documentaries that serve as a bridge connecting many worlds with critical, untold stories. Before studying journalism, Karsin worked with womens cooperatives in Mayan communities of Chiapas, Mexico for five years. She holds a Bachelor of the Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and a Masters of Science from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Weaving Wisdom is her first feature-length film.
