ABOUT ME

The star of my film, Act As If, is the coach of Harvard University’s basketball team, Kathy Delaney-Smith. I captained Kathy’s team in 2001 and watched her embody the “act as if” philosophy as she courageously battled breast cancer without missing a single day of practice. Since then I’ve worked in documentary film, television, and interactive website development. I was the camera assistant/assistant editor on Morgan Spurlock’s film, Class Act (his follow up to Super Size Me about the degradation of arts education in the United States.) At Spike TV I directed and produced over 150 web segments for shows including: Pros vs. Joes, Bull Run, and The Kill Point. Currently I own High Hip Productions, an independent production company, and run The Colbert Report website as a senior producer at Comedy Central. I was dubbed “High Hip” by a college teammate who decided it would be my street name—because I am 6’4’’ tall with a 38’’ inseam.
