About Me

I am a film writer, producer and director with a background in experimental theatre. I graduated for a MA in Film at the International Film School Wales in 2005. I matured business and film industry experience both in Italy and the UK. In 1998 I co-founded a cultural association in Italy organising events such as short film festivals, music events, theatre events, art exhibitions, courses and charity events in culturally deprived areas. In 2004 I wrote, produced and directed CARMEN, my first film, a UK and Italian short film co-production dealing with gender issues and rural conservatism. In 2007 my first feature film script was selected for a place at the MEDIA Desk Film Programme EKRAN held at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw, Poland. Within EKRAN I made an experimental short film in Polish language and two test sequences from my project, together with the writing of three different treatments of the story and some key scenes. I have completed in January 2010 MUSE, an experimental film noir about creative inspiration, part of a slates of projects about identity. I have also an academic side. I am a Visiting Tutor in Film and Visual Culture at the International Film School Wales, where I also collaborate with Skillset Screen Academy Wales and am now in the process of writing a PhD proposal. I am Course Leader in A Level Film Studies. I have taught A Level Media Studies and am currently running practical filmmaking modules for BTEC Media Production and BTEC Fine Art students at Coleg Gwent, South Wales.
