Marinho Nobre is a composer for film, TV and concert music with a career fast on the rise. Having scored several feature films, he is the winner of two awards and one nomination for best score and his music has received raving reviews from websites, magazines and publications in the US and abroad. As an accomplished writer, producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist. his composing style is becoming steadily well known as one with a flair for ethnic and dark music, making his works sought by film directors, producers and artists worldwide.
Raised listening to classical and world music, then submerged into the world of pop, rock and electronic, throughout his composing career Marinho also worked as the frontman, writer and musician for rock, techno, industrial and world music ensembles, performing and touring the US and abroad, as well as working as the record producer for several artists worldwide.
An alumni from The Juilliard School and from the UK based Music for the Media film music school, Marinho’s fascination for scoring to picture came in the mid 90’s while creating music for school plays and local cable tv commercials in New York.
With a growing credit list of award winning films and scores, he continues his studies in composition, orchestration, conducting as he creates classical, world and experimental music for concert, film and television along with further developing his career as a solo artist. Marinho currently works from his private state of the art Pro Tools HD Mac driven digital recording facility in Long Island City, New York, where along with his small staff he gathers a myriad of sound libraries, synths, guitars, ethnic instruments, water bowls, sheet metal and anything that can bring the sounds inside his mind out to reality.
