Filmmaking began for me in the 70’s when I joined a womens media collective and made Wishfulfilming. I then became one of the first women camera assistants and cinematographer. I directed and produced short films such as Lost Love (1982), in which I found humor in personal stories. Driven by passion and dedication, I produced a 90-minute documentary in 1986, Just One Step: The Great Peace March, about a nine-month cross-country trek for global nuclear disarmament. Holy Rascals arises from my desire to share the wisdom of spiritual elders that help me to be a kinder more compassionate, and wise elder myself. The threads of my life, video production, spirituality, healing, humor and networking, coalesce perfectly in this work. Inspired by a dream, I ended a fifteen-year hiatus from video production during which I was parenting, teaching, and studying healing, to once again engage in creating videos that inspire love and goodness. I have the passion, patience and persistence for this work.
