My Story

My music career probably started the moment a 50lb tv fell on my head crushing my vocal box. From there I started singing lessons to fix my voice and guitar lessons soon followed. By 15 I had my life ambition set on becoming a shredder guitarist. At 16 I had scrapped that, and fallen in love with song-writing. "You mean there's a way to express your feelings AND look cool?" I was so in. That went on and on, a lot of self-doubt, a great deal of 'you can't sing' and a lot of 'would you like fries with that' were to follow.

Three years ago I was ending a year spent on bed rest. It was horrible, awful and.. eye opening. I woke up one day I decided that if I wasn't ever going to make this record, I think I would regret it more than not getting married or having my own home. I took to craigslist and wrote a very snarky yet poignant advertisement looking for a producer. Adrian Ellis appeared and Late July hit the ground running. Not being able to travel or play live shows, was of no consequence, we set our goals and wrote many hilarious emails with little to no relevant information in them. FINALLY in March 2010, my first record "Side Swept" was released into the universe. It was such a healing and inspiring thing to accomplish that I did it again in March 2011, "Hospital Quiet" touching on some of the experiences I wasn't quite ready to deal with the previous year.
And here I am again. Healthier then I ever have been, living on my own, a single dog mom in the city. Excited as I am about my new life, I need help to make my third record - and it's going to be awesome!
I love having people involved, it's an inspiring thing and I want YOU to help me make this record. Yes you. Let's do this.
What We Need & What You Get

First off, I want to thank you guys for your support over the last two years and two records - you're amazing, and it's been an incredible journey. And now the journey continues - I'm putting out a new record and I want YOU to be a part of the process of making it! I need your help to make this happen, and in return, you'll get all sorts of awesome stuff and things, plus you'll get that warm fuzzy feeling of knowing you helped an artist create her latest work!
