La Historia

Alex y Esperanza son dos jóvenes enamorados que viven en Matagalpa. Un día, Alex pierde su celular en el cual tiene guardado un video de él y Esperanza haciendo el amor. A partir de este momento, nada será como antes y sus vidas serán devastadas.

The Story

Alex is in love with Esperanza and to keep a souvenir their of their passion he decides to use his mobile phone to film them making love. Later he joins his buddies in a bar and forgets the phone. From that moment, nothing will be the same, and their lives will be devastated.

El Impacto que buscamos

En Mayo del 2010 después de 10 años de lucha estrenamos en las pantallas de Nicaragua, la primera película producida por esté país en los últimos 20 años: La Yuma. No teníamos esperanza de quedarnos en cartelera más de dos semanas convencidos que el público, alimentado por los blockbusters norteamericanos no iba a apreciar una película de autor, de bajo presupuesto, tratando de un tema social. El éxito fue impresionante. Nos quedamos 6 semanas en cartelera y el público esta reclamando más producciones locales.

Esta segunda película pretende llenar nuevamente este vacío de identidad provocado por la ausencia de producción audiovisual. Como la anterior está inspirada por la vivencia diaria de la gente común, está basada en hechos reales y cuenta una historia donde la juventud esta en el centro de la acción.

Pero esta vez decidimos mirar hacia el interior del país, las tierras del norte, el país de los vaqueros donde predominan los valores ligados a la tierra, a la tradición, al modelo patriarcal. En paralelo a esta ruralidad quisimos incursionar en el universo tecnológico que rige las relaciones sociales de la juventud del siglo 21

The Impact

Last May after 10 years of struggle, we finally launched on Nicaraguan screens the first film produced in this country after 20 years:  La Yuma. We expected that with a little luck it would last for two weeks, convinced that the public, inundated with North American blockbusters, would not care too much for a small budget " film d’auteur" dealing with social issues. But surprisingly movie theaters were jam-packed with audiences of all ages and social origin who applauded the act of finally seeing a movie that tells their story, and ask for more.

This second film is in the same line and aims to fill this void of identity caused by the absence of audiovisual production. Again we wanted to watch and talk about the world we live in. We were inspired by true facts, trying to find a definitely contemporary story to tell, set in the universe of young people. 

This time we decide to turn our eyes towards country life, the northern lands, the country of cowboys, where predominant values are deeply rooted to land, tradition and a patriarchal model. In parallel with rural life, we wanted to venture into the cyber world, which governs social relationship of youth in the 21st century.
