About Me

Since meeting one of her mentors on the set of Jerry Lamoth’s “BlackOut,” Kacee Devoe has been blessed to be trained by the industry’s best. She is considered among the top emerging Casting Directors on the rise—having already worked with the likes of Simon Henwood (Kanye West “Love Lockdown”), Chris Stokes (You got Served), Jeff Byrd (Kings Ransome) and Steve Shill (Obsessed). Kacee’s work spans both coasts; casting projects in New York and returning to Los Angeles to work with her mentor, Lamese Williams of Freeze Frame Entertainment. Other mentors include Natasha Ward and Leah Daniels. Kacee is known for casting new faces. Her commitment to emerging talent inspired her to open a weekly workshop in Manhattan called “The Break Free Intensive: A Workshop for the New Actor” to advise aspiring actors with know-how to launch their careers. In addition to informing them about the casting process and the inner workings of the business, Kacee guides her students through improv exercises that encourage them to explore their inhibitions and release negative energies. She stresses the importance of self-management, which is essential to a illustrious career in a competitive industry.
