Jan Wellmann, MBA, based out of Los Angeles, has launched groundbreaking ventures in advertising, film production, game production, and new media since 1990. He handles both the business and creative side, having also writted-directed-produced interactive award winning games and websites, and a dozen+ documentary and fiction films that have been distributed in over 28 countries with several festival awards (see www.janwellmann.com).

On the financial side he has raised over USD40m in risk capital for various media and internet related ventures, and is today packaging ventures in online movie distribution and social media.

On the consulting side he advices ventures on acquisitions and funding strategy with YELOWA MANAGEMENT LLC, based out of Paris and L.A.

In early 2000 he founded and raised $21m for RIOT ENTERTAINMENT INC, and ran it as a CEO with operations in 27 countries. RIOT-E was a mobile entertainment pioneer that innovated branded entertainment in mobile phones, leveraging exclusive properties of MARVEL (X-Men, Spiderman, Punisher, etc), New Line (Lord Of The Rings), Universal, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, to build branded games with a network of over 170m users. Before that he was co-founder of what is today known as Trainer's House (marketing/training consultancy), Mandrake Productions (pioneering CGI production co), and IntelliGame (game production co).
