A bit about me.
Hi I'm Josh Clarke. In the last year I've taken up becoming a comic artist. I've completed my first comic and am getting it self-published. I'm now working on other comics too.
Why IndieGogo?
As I push forward in the comic world I'm going to need a lot of support. I've seen success and received a lot of praise online with what I've done, now I need to get it into people's hands.
The success of this campaign guarantees my work will reach the hands of those who've offered me so much support with my work over the last few months and years, and meets many new eyes as well.
Target
Set what I beleive is a very real target of 300/$500. This will go someway towards what is needed to get my work seen by the right people in the coming months, and if I can pass my goal it'd be very much appreciated. The money raised will go towards these costs:
Comic event exhibition costs for KaPow! Comic Convention in April, London MCM Expo and Bristol International Comics and Small Press Expo in May (approx. 137 / $220)
Production costs for the second larger print run of my comic, itsjustjoshdotcom, which is going up to 32 pages rather than 28 to allow for more content. Plus production costs for the book @youcantweetjosh: Year One (approx. 150/$240)
Promotional materials, such as business cards and banners (approx. 60/$100)
Web hosting towards my portfolio and webcomic, itsjustjoshdotcom, and its follow-up, The Elemals. (approx. 90/$145)
Recently itsjustjosh.com and elemals.net have been disabled due to lack of funds and I've had to move everything to deviantART/facebook, which are great sharing platforms but ultimately my own presence is best.
Misc costs (such as travel and shipping)
Much more than the target I've set on IndieGogoso hopefully I hit or even exceed the goal.
