Synopsis:

Claire, a precocious yet still innocent pre-teen girl, tries to learn about her absent father by secretly painting his portrait from her imagination. When her mother discovers the painting, Claire learns an even bigger secret, and takes the first steps on the path to becoming a young woman.

What makes Inspiration different: Inspiration is unique because it presents a universal human experience through the voice of a young girl. The main character, Claire, faces some critical questions: "Who am I?" "How do I want my life to be?" "If I follow my path will the people I love still be there for me?" As a pre-teen, Claire is navigating these challenges of identity and independence for the first time, yet she will continue to face them in forms -- as all people do over the course of their lives. Because she continues to press forward despite her doubts and fears, she reminds viewers of all ages about the importance of being true to one's self. Claire is a self-actualization hero for all ages.

Inspiration adds another win to our collection of grants. We were recently awarded a Fotokem post-production grant. This grant covers the costs of film processing, a work print and answer print… and is valued at about $10,000.

Inspiration has just been awarded a Panavision 35mm GOLD Film Equipment Grant. The package includes 10 prime-lenses, 6 super-speed lenses, 20 Filters and Flex Fills, and a $325 000 custom-made Panaflex Film Camera… for a grand total of $750, 000 worth of professional equipment for the shoot!

Inspiration recently received a Kodak grant of 5000 ft of 35mm film stock. We now have our total 18,000 feet stored and ready to go for October.
