Heather was one of only two students annually accepted into UBC's MD/PhD Program. While in medical school, Heather co-founded the first student-owned independent cafe at UBC Campus, The Boulevard Coffee Roasting Co. As a spinoff idea from her PhD work Heather also invented technology to accelerate the pre-clinical research. Heather plans to use the project management skills she acquired in research, medicine and business to undertake venture projects to push the envelope in health sciences.
