Ruth Hopkins (Sisseton-Wahpeton/Mdewakanton/Hunkpapa) is an author, blogger, speaker, ethnoscientist, grantwriter, Tribal Judge for the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate, Columnist for Indian Country Today Media Network, Editor/Writer for Lastrealindians.com, and a die-hard rezzer.  Her written work has been published in print and online around the globe.  Her first horror novella will be published this winter. She is also the North Dakota EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) Tribal Colleges Liaison Manager for North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota. 

Taking direction from the Creator, Ruth advocates for any and all things Indigenous.  Her personal mission is to use her knowledge, skills, talents, and drive to make life better for all Natives.  Everything else is gravy.
