Bio: From Chicago to Hollywood, by New York and back. My feature shot on 16mm film titled, Lover For My Husband can now be found at Block Buster stores or on line using any search engine. My motto in movie making is to build a story around sex or violence. Since it is expensive to have the violence, sex will have to do. That suits me just fine because creating my film Lover For My Husband was a labor of love in it self. And I assume it was good for others as well. It won the New York International Film Festival, Opened at the Gene Siskel Theater in Chicago to a sold out Audience, was used in a SAG seminar, and was distributed to Block Buster, Tower Records, Circuit City, Amazon.com, University Video and many more. Not bad for my first film but I’m very excited about my next project titled Rice Cakes and Beans.

What makes BrandonFinney different?
I was able to go from zero dollars, to an award winning film that received world wide distribution. It’s been done before, but rarely, especially for someone with no name and no ties to the Hollywood scene. I’m different because my films/screenplays are different. They are in no way what you’d normally see on screen. They mirror everyday life, and the events of real everyday people.

Rice Cakes and Beans
Synopsis
When a Mexican woman, Tayde Casarez meets a Black woman, Shea Kirkland during a restaurant hold-up they think they have nothing in common being from two totally different backgrounds. Initially, Tayde sees a homeless, annoying, loud mouth, ghetto, trash talking inner-city hood rat that she can’t stand to be around. While at the same time Shea sees a stuck up, fast talking, head shaking, angry Mexican woman now in America sucking up all the resources. As the two women hide out from the police who think they are in on the hold-up, and the thugs who they can identify—a strange thing happens. Tayde and Shea develop a bond as strong as sisters. The many things that separate them melt away to make room for a lot of things that they have in common such as facing criminal charges or being murdered by thug stick-up men. Not to mention no good boy friends, no good jobs, no good parents, and a certain food that they grew up hating. All of these things bring them closer together; but the one thing, the biggest thing they disagree on is that one hates Rice Cakes, and the other hates Beans. How will they ever get along?
