Bio: Daniela Kon is an independent documentary filmmaker who is driven by the subversive potential of social impact documentary that makes the obvious unfamiliar and animates an understanding of the subjective underlying structures that make up social and ideological realities.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Daniela moved to London in 1999 and completed her BA in Media and Cultural Studies and MA in Documentary Production at the University of London. In 2003 she worked as a production assistant for Killer Films in New York. In 2004/2005 she joined Blowback Productions, director Marc Levin’s NYC production company and worked as the researcher and assistant editor on “Protocols of Zion,” an Official Sundance Selection. Upon directing her first feature documentary in South East Asia, she founded DEEDA Productions in 2006.
