Statement From The Writer/Producer/Director

Hello everyone, Im Jeremiah Sayys- the writer, director and one of the producers of the horror feature film IMMORAL PRODIGY. My primary focus is to raise the $250,000 budget so that we can shoot the film on 35mm, which costs between 0.09 to 0.12 cents per foot.  "Why," you ask? A low budget independent slasher horror film shooting on 35mm, versus DV or HD, will help ensure that critics, film festivals, and distribution company's take this film as seriously as we do.  Were planning to shoot the film at the end of October - November in Los Angeles, CA.

IMMORAL PRODIGY was developed to be a Theatrical Film. Above-the-line talent will be SAG (Screen Actors Guild, a Union that most professional actors are members of), to ensure the film gets public recognition, as well as skilled actors for these complex roles. We are currently contacting a few star name talents to attach to the project.

Below-the-line talent will be NON-UNION talent. Skilled, experienced crew members we hire will ensure a high quality production with the look of a high-budget Hollywood film. We already have several talented production members already attached to the film. The films story, locale, and cast are designed to drive theatrical domestic and international sales. That same strategy makes it a prime candidate for domestic and international DVD and television sales as well. Please continue reading to learn more about the story and production.

The Story

One day when a group of friends are playing at a park, one of the little boy's named GAVIN DAVIES just stopped playing. Stopped laughing. Stopped talking. Stopped being the loving, carefree kid his parents had raised. Soon after, a new persona began to manifest itself... Now, years later the group of friends are adults, living their everyday lives. After the brutal attack by a mysterious figure known as The Lurker, that left a young girl, Meredith, in a coma and her friends dead, Zachary, one of the friends in the group, Meredith's cousin is there for her along with Meredith's best friend Yacy, waiting and hoping she will wake up. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Zachary, The Lurker begins stalking and studying his next victims, the rest of the friends in the group: Elizabeth, Rydan, Samantha, Sissy and Brandon. Meredith finally wakes from her coma. Zachary and Yacy are there to help her to deal what happened to her. But Zachary, Meredith and Yacy soon realize Meredith's attacker isn't finished just yet when they horrifically discover they are The Lurker's final pieces of his puzzle.

Themes In The Film

Thematically, this film explores the idea of how even children with the sunniest dispositions aren't immune to their own human nature- the macabre curiosity of murder. The film also explores the idea of how lifelong friends are hard to come by.

Not Your Typical Slasher Film

IMMORAL PRODIGY isn't your typical horror film. It stays true to the horror films of the 1970's and 1980's, yet its story is told in a serious way, which in return will make it a more real-to-life movie going experience. What makes IMMORAL PRODIGY stand out from your typical horror film are the main characters. They're compelling, three-dimensional male and female characters that will ring true to a world wide audience- a characteristic that's hard to come by in the horror genre.
