WHO WILL KILL?
The target demographic for I Kill Monsters is the 16-21 year old Male/Female horror, sci-fi fans, other wise known as fan boys. Avid viewers of Ghostbusters and anything Joss Whedon, our hardcore audience will be the Comic-Con and FanExpo regulars, both young and old, who are looking for something to fill the Buffy void. But I Kill Monsters is a show that doesnt over play its maturity or underestimate the gravity of its themes, and will also reach for older, lean forward viewers as well as the ever web surfing pre-teen looking for laughs and the next cool thing.
Ultimately a comical underdog story, I Kill Monsters will reach out to the misunderstood outcasts, eccentric rejects and down on their luck losers of the world who are just trying to find their place within it.
CONNECT TO THE KILLING!You'll find the team at G&B Monster Agency on the web in all the usual places (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn); as well as some unique ones ("The Voice of Voice-Box" - Voice-Box's Blog and "Pipe Up" Piper's Video Blog). All of which will pose as points where viewers can make authentic contact with the characters and creators of the show.
But we know that connection isn't a one-way street and I Kill Monsters will look to directly interact with you, the audience. Tell us what you think, what you like, what you dont and what monsters youd love to see on the show. The team at I Kill Monsters prides itself on genuinely listening to its viewers and giving them what they want.
Not stopping with the web, I Kill Monsters will garner attention through realistic marketing of the show. Meaning we wont market I Kill Monsters as a web series, but as a legitimate monster killing business. A print campaign featuring newspaper clippings, billboard ads, business cards on local coffee shop corkboards, telephone pole flyers and public transit ads will flood major and minor cities alike. Our goal is to immerse the public in the idea that monsters do existbut so does G&B Monster Agency. Heck, you may even spot the team slaying a monster at your local shopping mall, hang out or hockey rink.
MEET OUR MONSTER KILLERS.
The world of I Kill Monsters is chalk full of cult heroes, unusual villains, odd misfits and frightening monsters but here are four characters we think you should meet.
Goren Go, 50 A world-renowned adventurer, monster killer, controversial pop culture figure and shameless self-promoter. A mans man, Go is gifted with street smarts and is naturally a very bitter and cynical individual. Yet, despite his flaws, Go is ultimately a lovable goof with undeniable charm and when push comes to shove, Go is always there for others.
Emmett Voice-Box Rhodes, 28 Strong as an ox, yet gentle as a kitten; Emmet Rhodes Voice-Box, is a walking, mute, dichotomy. Go has personally taken Voice-Box under his wing, teaching him everything hes learned about the occult and monster fighting. Essentially the Robin to Gos Batman, Voice-Box is Gos most trusted friend, confidante, and ever-present sidekick.
Piper, 21
The quintessential brains of the operation, Piper is a spunky, strong willed, idealistic young woman whose individuality has often separated her from others. A pop culture junkie and child of the 80s, her love for Saturday morning cartoons and punk/indie rock music has turned Piper into an adorable, bubble gum chewing smart mouth. An intuitive talent with computer modification, her tech support ushers in a new way for the team to operate, making them quicker and more effective.
Luke Vander, 25 The orphaned son of a monster-murdered father, Luke, a genuine "Mr. Fix It", becomes the 4th wheel in the G&B tripod. A young spirit, he is eager to prove himself to the team and always stands up for what he believes in. Aiming the anger of his father's death at any monster he comes across, Luke isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, but as Go is quick to point out, he has a lot to learn.
