ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY FILM
IF YOU CAN DREAM: Learning to Thrive with Multiple Sclerosis will document the lives of three people with MS at different points in their life. Our goal is not only to raise public awareness and generate support for additional MS research, but to create a teaching tool for the health and medical institutions who are tackling this issue.
While many films have portrayed one person overcoming the disease, ours will show that MS is different for everyone and changes as a person moves through their life.
We'll film one person whose recently been diagnosed, someone else who has settled into life with the disease, and an older person who has been living with it for many years.
WHY THIS CAMPAIGN
We are launching this fundraising effort to raise the money needed to cover production costs for filming and editing of the documentary. Not only are we reaching out to the entire MS community for help with this campaign, but we are also speaking to many people to make sure the complete MS experience is documented.
WHERE WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTION GO?
All of the money raised will go directly into the production of the film. Once our goal of $10,000 is reached, we will donate 25% of all future contributions to MS related organizations. Once the film is completed 50% of all profits will go to MS related charities.
DISTRIBUTION PLAN?
Once the documentary is completed, it will be shown at film festivals and public television stations around the country. Then it will be made available to educational and medical institutions as a teaching film.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION TEAM
We are so lucky to have Thy Huskey and John Czwartacki (the guy in the film) on as Executive Producers. While they both understand the challenges brought on by Multiple Sclerosis, they also understand how important it is to build awareness through education.
Mission Man Media is a Washington, DC based production company founded by award winning filmmaker Emmett Williams dedicated to producing low budget documentaries for non-profits and social causes we believe in.
