Idgy Dean's Heart & Lung

I'm Idgy Dean, a Brooklyn-based one-woman indie-rock project!  Last fall, dear friends, family, and strangers chipped in to help me make my first professional studio record.  Thanks to their good faith and generosity, the 6-song EP "Heart & Lung" was released on August 6th, 2011.

Using her Kate Bush-y soprano for intricate vocal parts, and supporting it with all sorts of musical influences - ranging from garage rock to dream-pop and even post-rock - Brooklynite Idgy Dean (real name Lindsay Sanwald) creates poppy DIY music that's original and hard to pinpoint. Her new EP Heart & Lung showcases a promising vulcanic creativity.  (The Deli Magazine - August 17, 2011)

All Goes Onward and Outward
But "Heart & Lung" was just the beginning... The necessary next step is to escape from the home city, take the record on the road, and showcase Idgy Dean from coast to coast.

Come early 2012, I will begin a series of adventures down, up, and across this great nation.  Winter into spring, you'll find me in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Asheville, Louisville, Nashville, Atlanta, Savannah, New Orleans, Austin, Phoenix, LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Anywhere, Everywhere.

This journey, however, is going to require a considerable amount of financial fuel (not to mention the literal kind).  But you can help me chart the course of this next chapter in more ways than one.  Maybe you have a couch I can sleep on?  Maybe you have a car I can borrow?  Maybe you know an ideal venue for an Idgy Dean show in your local city?  Maybe your contribution can go toward a tank of gas, a meal on the road, promotion costs, time off work, or a month's rent?  The waiting road will provide the rest.

Love,
Lindsay
