An old state office filled with heat, mosquitos and a broken fan in Trinidad, a tropical Bolivian city, is the place were five woman meet to receive an inheritance from a stockbreeder, they were the woman of his life.
This project was a beautiful reason to gather together two young latin-american women directors Yashira Jordn from Bolivia and Nadia Lozano from Argentina with the same goal: The necessity for rawness, spontaneity and multiple truths is something essential to revive in Bolivian cinema, fortifying concepts of presence and absence within a country in transformation. Las Herederas is a project that strives for transparency and an organic form: in the representation of a single complete woman, it encapsulates five distinct female dimensions. This composite female will be reformulated, undressed and finally be made to reappear in her most essential form.
