Our Story
Hi there, we're Brokenfor. We're a band. We make music. We love what we do. But those few statements don't get close to explaining everything about us.
My name is Ben, I am the lead singer and guitarist. I was brought up in a Christian home, I wanted to be a drummer but my parents said that there were too many drummers in my church already, so I picked up the guitar. I started writing songs with my brother Dan, who is the bassist, and before we knew it we'd formed a band, with Dicky on drums, at the age of 11. We couldn't really play anything, but we tried. We didn't know why we were doing what we were, but we just did.
Eight years later and we're still making music, but we've found the reason for almost a decades worth of strumming guitars and hitting cymbals. We have a passion for seeing the Gospel reach the lives of young people. To see people connecting with Jesus where they are. To see them changed forever. To let hope shine!
The Gospel is not just about what's been and done, but what's happening now and what is to come. We make music that we love, inspired by the artists that we listen to everyday, injected with a message of hope, not just so it can be enjoyed now, but so it can inspire the next generation to love and be loved. The Impact
You've found out that we're not just another band wanting to make a CD to get rich & famous. We've got a mission, this is your chance to help.
We live in a country (or even a world), where the Gospel gets squashed by the media and thrown out by scientific ideals. Most of the music that hits the ears of young people sends a message of loose morals and little hope for a bright future.
We want to change that. The best way to affect the lives of young people is to meet them where they are at. To talk to them not as a parent but as a friend, about subjects that they face everyday and in a way that sounds like what they already listen to.
Making this EP is not just about music, but life. We want to be able to do this everyday of our lives. Write songs, play shows and reach more and more people with this message of love and hope that Jesus saves. By investing in this CD you can help us try and achieve our goal.
