About Me
Hailey was diagnosed with osterosarcoma in her left leg at the age of 12. At 14, she decided to have her leg amputated above the knee and has never looked back. Today, she is a sophomore at Northwestern University studying Human Development and Psychological Services.
Much of Hailey's life has been shaped by her experiences at One Step at a Time camp. After seven years as a camper, she will be returning to One Step this summer as a counselor. The rest of her summer will be spent interning at Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association and training for her first triathlon.
