I have always been a huge fan of Matt Wagner's Grendel series. When it was first released in comic form back in the 80's, I could always imagine it being turned into a movie. More than 25 years later, although Grendel has taken on many guises in many time periods, only one film (a student project) has been made. One. Sadly, the mask wasn't even in it, let alone Hunter Rose, Argent, Christine Spar, etc. From what I have found, it was optioned several years ago in Hollyweird, but appears to be sitting in production limbo. This is a shame. So I decided, as an indie filmmaker, to pursue this myself and make a short fan film based on Devil by the Deed. I hope I do Matt Wagner proud.
