I'm just one of many people whose life's path was shaped by Bob Moog's contributions to the modern age. After college, I pursued a career as a musician and a freelance writer, eventually establishing myself writing about music technology and synthesizers in particular. I taught experimental sound and recording techniques as an adjunct professor at the Atlanta College of Art, and I eventually spent ten years as a full-time editor for the magazine Electronic Musician, for which Ive been writing continually since 1985.
I moved to Asheville in 2010. Since then, Ive been involved with the Bob Moog Foundation, recently designing a curriculum for second-grade teachers to help children make the connection between music and science. Along with a few other authors, Bob Moog and I collaborated on a book in 1992. That was one of several books Ive edited, and I wrote three modestly successful books about electronic music in the 80s. Im currently writing and designing my first interactive ebook.
