Filmmaker
Award winning filmmaker Frank Kelly was born, and continues to live, in Drogheda, County Louth in Ireland. He holds a HND in Animation Production from Ballyfermot College Dublin.
In 2005 he set up Pale Stone Productions Limited with Thomas Kennedy. Together they co-wrote and directed Emily’s Song in 2006. The film went on to screen at over 30 International Film Festivals, win several prestigious awards and was broadcast on RTE 2. It has recently been acquired by UK broadcaster Channel 4.
Frank wrote and directed the no-budget short documentary entitled Bill, For Short in 2008. It was officially selected for the 2008 Heartland Film Festival and nominated for Best Documentary at the 2009 Heart of Gold Film Festival in Australia. It was also featured on RTEs Nationwide show that year.
‘Slan agus Beannacht was shot in Aril of 2009, and again featured on Nationwide that same year.
Franks latest film, ’140’, a feature length experimental documentary, will have its World Premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California at the end of April this year and is due for global release in June.
Frank is currently in development on several new projects.
