Franois Aubry, Director, Cinematographer, entered early into the world of film and animation at the NFBC. He was trained in the most highly sophisticated techniques, by the founders of animation as we know it today. After 10 bright years of work at the Board as Writer, Director and Visual Effects Supervisor, moving quickly to the front of his field, he began winning international contracts including Visual Effects Supervisor for Highlander III, and collaborating with directors like Denys Arcand and Robert Lepage. He was Director & DOP Television Documentaries on social issues around the globe. He just completed his first feature film, THE DARK ROOM. Nominee and winner of several awards such as: Chris Award – Fine Arts- Genie and Gemini Awards.
