In 2002, Kent helped a friend on a small independent project and a secret passion for acting was awakened. This led him to make the connection between playing the horn and acting. He began studying with David Triacca, a well-known New York City teacher and acting coach, and worked his way from the foundations of basic acting to the master classes. The experience of studying different acting techniques, scripts and observing his teachers approach to directing left an indelible impression on him. Some of his roles include Mike in Princeton Holts Cookies and Cream, and Phish, also by One Way or Another Productions, in addition to several live acting showcases from the NYC-based Ground Works Theater. Miranda is his first feature film.
