About Me

Mrs. Regina Shields-Hailey is a life long resident of Richmond, California, though work as a camera woman/editor has made it necessary for her to require temporary housing in North Hollywood, California. She continues to visit Richmond to volunteer her expertise in the film/music industry. Regina is a 1996 honorable graduate of Kennedy High School in Richmond, California. After high school she furthered her education at The Los Angeles Film School where she graduated as the first African-American female.

Regina served as a consultant for the planning/implementation of Youth Uprising in our neighboring Oakland, California. She has excelled in the entertainment industry as one of the industries most creative camera women/editors. Mrs. Shields-Hailey is credited with working BET’s greatest acts/tours such as BET Awards hosted by Steve Harvey, Comic View, Teens of Comedy, Spring Bling, Celebration of Gospel with Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, and the highest rated show in BET history-Coming to the Stage. Regina is also credited with working with Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and many more. She has toured with K-Ci & Jo Jo of Jodeci as their personal camera person.

Regina made her greatest contribution back to the city of Richmond when she put all of her business on hold for two months as she vigorously worked day and night to document the spirit/people that made Tent City for Peace a beautiful experience for the whole community. Mrs. Shields-Hailey has documented over 60 hours of footage from all the sites including interviews from Tent City/City Leaders such as Chief Magnus, Lt. Gagan, Congressman George Miller to name a few. Regina recently accompanied me on a boxing tour through North Richmond/Iron Triangle neighborhoods. She interviewed some of the fighters as well as past perpetrators of violence. The interviews were based on the topic of how things are since Tent City and the inner most thoughts of our youth and those effected/affecting the change. Mrs. Shields-Hailey gives one week per month for charity.

The purpose of this documentary is to provide knowledge to the uniformed as it relates to violence and homicide to enhance participation in all local communities with the ongoing effort and struggle to create peace and harmony within our economically depleted inner cities.
