George Kachadorian

From prime time network series to independent films, preserving a family tradition of documentary film making since 1932.

About Me

Emmy nominated television producer and film maker George Kachadorian specializes in creating content that tastes like candy but gives you all the nutrients of a balanced meal. He has produced, edited and acted as senior editor on numerous multi-hour series with ABC’s long form documentary unit, most recently a 5 part non-narrated series about NASCAR and a 2 hour “television event” titled “Last Days on Earth” that counted down the seven deadliest threats to humanity. Also with ABC, he was on the team that broadcast for the first time ever a capital case jury deliberation, as part of the award winning series “In the Jury Room”.

In 2003, George released his first documentary, “Divining Mom”. This investigation into his mother’s purported paranormal abilities— and his father’s refusal to accept them— enjoyed a nice festival run before finding a home on cable TV. Variety Magazine called it “an impressive non-fiction film debut.” The Vermont standard hailed it as “a masterpiece.”

In 2006, George was nominated for the Emmy Award for “Outstanding Documentary on a Business Topic” for an hour he produced and edited for the Discovery Times Channel about the New York Stock Exchange titled “Wall Street.”

He is currently working on his second documentary, a story about his wife, photographer Courtney Bent, and her most unique group of photography students. A trailer is posted on youtube:

Today, George lives in southern New Hampshire with his wife, two kids, and one cat.
