Persistence and Perseverance always Prevail
New Zealand born Emily Corcoran travelled to London and attended the Arts Educational Schools 3 year drama course, from which she graduated in 1998.
Emily started her film company ‘Cork Films’ shortly after graduating and made 6 short films, some of which have been sold internationally to the likes of Sky Movies, Canal +, Home Choice Channel, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand and Virgin Airlines. They have appeared at a number of festivals worldwide including Cannes, Venice and Edinburgh.
Emily has since written, produced and acted in the comedy feature film ‘Sisterhood’ which has so far made the official selection of three international film festivals and secured a theatrical release in the UK and Blu Ray & DVD for the USA and Australasia. Emily is regularly commissioned to write screenplays for other producers, continues to work as an actress and has worked in a number of film consultancy roles including with a US distribution company, two UK tax funds, UK studio funds and now in film education.
