E.B. HUGHES has written 21 screenplays to date, and has Written, Produced and Directed two short films “A Distant Chord”, 1994 and “Harsh Light”, 1997 and a documentary “Once a Champion”, and is currently directing his first feature-length film “Turnabout”. His short film “Harsh Light” won Top Prize at the Palm Springs International Film Festival the Long Island Film Festival, and was featured at the Euro-Underground Film Festival in Krakow and Munich. His screenplay “Life’s Back Pocket” is a former finalist of the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Three years ago, his screenplay “Dark Intervals” was optioned by New York based Film Director, Joe Brewster (“The Killing Zone” & “The Keeper”), and this past July he sold his screenplay“The Messenger” to NY based Other Side of the River Productions.
