There are millions of kids whose families don't look like the ones they see on TV. With Dottie's Magic Pockets the first kids' show dedicated to representing all kinds of families we're doing our part to change that!

Whether a child's family is made up of two dads, one mom, adoptive parents, a mom and a dad or any combination in between with Dottie's Magic Pockets we want to make sure everyone is represented.

Your donation will help fund:

• Final production costs to finish our DVD's new opening title sequence
• Final production costs to finish a music video featuring the song "Who's in Your Familiy?" from our new Dottie's Magic Pockets "Super Secret Seashell Cave" CD, which is focused on family diversity
• Distribution and administrative costs to get Dottie's Magic Pockets out to even more kids via in-store sales and iTunes.

One mom's dream
Mom and writer, Tammy Stoner was inspired to create Dottie's Magic Pockets through her own son's requests for videos with "two mommies."

She says "I know from experience with my son that many kids may have awkward moments when they'll need to clarify who is in their family often to confused children and adults! With our show, we're trying to make this easier by supporting our kids and helping others understand them and their families in a fun, every day way."

The result is a grassroots labor of love that has been featured in film festivals around the world, and is now available in many libraries in the US and Canada. 

Kids love Dottie!
With adorable puppets, original cartoons, catchy songs, and using educational themes, Dottie's Magic Pockets has all the things kids love, while featuring images that all kids can relate to. This is especially important for kids with gay parents who don't get the chance to see themselves on children's TV.

And who wouldn't love Uncanny the singing can, snooty James the flower, shy Randal the Beaver, friendly Motilda the Mouse, and, of course, Dottie, with her glitter-filled pockets and polka-dot bow?!
